A whole lotta love!

I have to share this post with you. I have followed this blog for a long long time and its one of my favourites, it is also my blog of the week!! (see side bar). I had to make my own:

Husband: 'What are you doing?'
Me: 'Making sugar cube hearts'
Husband: 'What? for tommorrow? (Valentines day)
Me: 'No, just for my tea'

:)

My husband requested chocolate brownies for our valentines day dessert (His favourite).
I have tried to make egg free brownies before (He eats eggs, but there's no way i'm missing out!!!), but they always turn out like normal chocolate cake, never with that lovely brownie crust on top.

This time i used a recipe from Green and Blacks - it uses A LOT of chocolate and butter - but, my, it is good!!!!!!

I used almonds instead of cherries and made two small ones for the boys:

And, a great big heart one for us. We heated it up a little and served it with Green and blacks ice cream for him, and cream for me. It was delish!! My husband even told me that he thinks it is the best brownie he has ever had (and he has tried a lot in his time). I will certainly make this recipe again.

Email me or inbox me at Facebook if you'd like the recipe.

I went into Sainsburys to buy the ingredients for valentines dinner and thought i'd get some flowers for the table. I went over to the valentines section, where they had a small bunch of tulips for £10. £10!!!!!
So i went to the normal flower section, where i bought two bunches of tulips for £5!!!!!

Madness!!

Cute card from eldest boy. He may be 9, but he is so loving and caring. And he gives the best cuddles ever!!

My valentines wrapping:

Dinner ingredients. We both chose a recipe from The Demuths cookbook and cooked it together once the boys had gone to bed:

Table setting:

I made this for the hubbie last year:

This is what i got hubbie. A cute little book from a CS that i personalised and this picture for our bedroom. Hubbie got me a pic at Christmas that said 'I love you to the moon and back', so i got him this ;)

And this is what i got him. Love him!!

Yum, yum - Tagliatelle with porcini and chestnut mushrooms, courgette, onion, white wine, soya sauce and tarragon:

We had a lovely meal and then sat down to watch 'Yes man'

xx

Todays lovely things:

1) A lay in.
2) Crumpets and butter
3) A beautiful sunny Wednesday.

Your table looks just like mine did except we had the kids joining us.
Can I ask where you got the 'Love you more' piccie from, it's Rich's Birthday soon and we always say this to each other so would be a perfect gift.
