Today whilst blogging i have a cup of tea and my favourite!! choc chip shortbread.I thought i'd let you see my most recent buys (all of them bargains i must add)
This big jar is from Matalan from the Anthea Turner range (Not bad for £5). I will change its uses but for now it has my fabric samples in, next to my sewing machine, Which can you believe it i still haven't used!!!!
My trusty face brightner from Barbara Daly at Tesco, i love it!! It smells fab. I use it on it's own, under foundation or just to highlight, it's also got an Spf.
I really need new socks! Most have holes in them. So heres my first pair from Tesco.

I have needed a small purse to fit in little bags, when i'm going out, but kept forgetting to get one. I saw this in the sale at Tesco for £1!!
Whilst in Matalan, my littlest spotted IgglePiggle from In the night garden and started to get very excited!! I couldn't resist!!

Todays 'happys'......

Things making me happy today are:

I love my dressing table (well not the table itself, i plan to buy a lovely one sometime this year) I have some of my most treasured things on it. Here in this corner you can see photos from my wedding day, one of the rabbits that i kept from a collection of about 100 that i had as a child, fairies, a lovely box that has allsorts of junk in and a beautiful little trinket box from a family friend. It has a dragonfly on top and reads 'The sun on the hill forgot to die, and the lilies revived and the dragonfly came back to dream on the river'. The cloth covering a horrible table is actually a white sheer sarong from Mauritus. (please ignore the cobwebs in the corner, we have a spider that i can't keep up with!!)
This candlestick is from a lovely antiques centre in Battlesbridge in Essex and the braclet around it was from Liberty's. This is in our living room and is probably our most used of all my candles.
Spotty dog!! Our family 'pet'. He always reminds me of my boy when he's at school, he loves him so.He is usually somewhere in the living room, today he has kept me company on my favourite chair.
I really loved getting my colours done. Today i am wearing navy and purple. I feel so much more alive since wearing colours that suit me. I really would recommend it.

I have spent about an hour reading your blog updates while the little one is napping with a big mug of hot chocolate, and some lovely chocolate finger things (Papadopoulos Caprice classic) from Waitrose (very nice, great with icecream, chocolate fondue or as a straw with hot choc!! yum). You all make me 'happy'. Thank you. x

Woo hoo!! 30 followers, thank you!! I've been blogging now for about 2 1/2 months. I'm really enjoying it. I log on everyday to check what you've all been up to and blog if i feel like it. I'm finding it chills me out, i only spend between 10 mins to an hour max depending on what time i've got so i'm not finding that it eats into my day, like i've heard recently it does others. I've so enjoyed seeing all your lovely things, makes etc and you have all inspired me so much!!

So to todays post: One of the magazines i subscribe to is Junior magazine. I love the photos in it, here are a few recent ones:

Boats, boats and more boats.

We went on a lovely walk yesterday. I have a book called Kiddiwalks in Essex (walks suitable for kids, not always buggies though, but hey ho, i let the hubby push!). We have been on a couple of the walks already. We went to Burnham on crouch (I love the drive to Burnham, especially on a lovely sunny day like yesterday). The walk was 2 1/2 miles, past the railway line, through fields, over stiles, through a field with a pig!! and past lots and lots of boats. Near the end we stopped off at a playground to let the little ones play. The youngest is poorly at the moment, so he rested in his buggy and i'm sure the fresh air did him good.

It was a great day. The fresh air always makes me so sleepy afterwards though. I dozed with the boys in the car on the way back!!
We called into Blockbuster on the way back and rented out 3 films for the week. We watched 'Bucket list' last night. I wanted to see it at the cinema, but i'm not a fan of Jack Nicholson. I do love Morgan Freeman though, so i decided to go for it. It was such a good film!! Tonight we are going to watch 'Priceless' with Audrey Tatou and for later in the week we have 'Happy go lucky'.

Here is the new book i've just started reading from the library, it's quite good so far and at the end of each chapter it has a recipie.
I had to post this photo of the 2 little boys. The eldest put his swim hat and goggles on to play games on the laptop as he was a 'spaceman'!

A fairly long post:

Hello Ladies,

Firstly i must say thank you to LittleknitterGem at Deravelled for some lovely awards , you can see them down the side of my posts.

I have had a lovely few days with my boys, all the boys (even the biggest one). My hubby has been off work to spend some time with the kids. We have been bike riding, shopping, film watching and eating out. It's been lovely, i miss him now hes gone back.
Yesterday we went into Leigh on sea, a lovely seaside town a short drive from us. We had a lovely lunch at our favourite veggie restaurant and then took the kids to the park.

My hubby nipped off and came back with this single rose (how sweet!) It's the same kind we had on our wedding day.
This is the lovely library in Leigh, it's so pretty and next to a really lovely park.

We walked down to the front. Theres a lovely shop full of wonderful bits. The boys like it as theres a tram inside!! We had a look at the boats and my eldest through stones into the wet sand.
You can just see Hadleigh castle in the distance.

When back, my littlest went into the bathroom to wash his hands (he gets this from me, i'm a little OCD)
While in Leigh we popped into my favourite shop for gifts and household bits, called Natural Edge. From the front it looks tiny, but inside it goes far back and is just wonderful. I really could buy everything. However, i just got these cute little badges to jazz up my cardis and my eldest bought me this lovely crystal heart (see below) How cute! He is so kind. He reminded me of the scene in 'Pollyanna' where they make rainbows from hanging crystals in the window. It amazed me as he watched that ages ago, but he said he likes to look at the rainbows in our bathroom from other crystals i have! Love him!
I took this picture of a pineapple because they fascinate me!! Please don't think i'm crazy, but i love them. After seeing a dancing pineapple in 'The snowman' they always make me smile. Also i'm sure eating lots (and i mean lots) of pineapple is what made me go into labour with my youngest!!

The lovely heart. I think i'll hang it in the bathroom window above the loo!!
My husband has been an angel recently, and he gave me some money to buy some clothes (for my new colours!)As you can see my wardrobe no longer consists of black and white and now has an array of greens, reds, purples and blue tops!! I also got a fabulous bright red coat in New Look and this lovely bag (yes another one) i'm addicted!!

We had a cinema night. My son made us tickets, we bought some ice cream and watched Kung Fu Panda, very funny.
Today we have had abit of a lazy one, although i did take my eldest to swimming this morning. We have watched High School Musical 3 and Bugsy Malone. I love the High School Musical films, they are such feel good movies!!
Enjoy the rest of the week, we are off to a farm tommorrow with friends and i plan on a Papa Johns takeaway. Yummy!! xx
