We spent our weekend in Rye and Tenterden for a vineyard tour.
Rye is one of my favourite British towns, full of character, lovely places to eat and gorgeous shops.
We stayed here at the friendly Old Borough Arms. Just across the road is my favourite pub in the world, The ship, i love the decor and the food is great.
Tenderten is another lovely town. If you ever get to visit, i can suggest a trip on the steam train to the lovely Bodium castle.

what a lovely looking place! and especially mermaid st!!!!...i love Elderflower cordial and wine- You're lovely! such a great title...those sweet old cottages, they never put that historic detail in modern homes anymore. looks like a wonderful day out x
A very interesting post! When I used to live in Kent I sometimes popped over to Rye for the day. I would have lemon meringue pie from that lovely tea room. It is a pretty place. The vineyard must have been very interesting, I haven't been there.

It looks so beautiful. We have vineyards here, but I never think of them being in the UK. Ilove the bottles. x
I love Rye too! In fact, I am due a visit there, as haven't visited for a while! We usual combine it with a shorter stop in Tenterden as well.
Did you make any purchases in the gorgeous shops??

OOh I have so many questions now -- what are the stories behind the house with 2 front doors, and the feather taped to the mail slot?
Thank you for your research -- that is so interesting! Oh to go back in time for a week...
