A big day and a big post about lots of things...

Today is my wedding anniversary.
We are planning a lovely home cooked meal and we are going to sit and snuggle whilst watching a film and eating choccies!! (I love the pink and black of these, don't you?)

It was also the littlest boys first day at Pre-school...argh!!! he screamed as i left bless him. I didn't look back, just walked away with a tear im my eye. I hope he doesn't cry tommorrow!!
I took myself off to get some yummy food for tonights meal and then came back to do some serious cleaning and sorting.
I have a plan you see. When the littlest is at pre-school, just two mornings a week, i shall have two and a half hours to get my house back into the working order (before i plan to start up a little buisness ;) it was in before i had children. I think it will take a few months!! Today i tackled our ensuite - sorting out my vanity unit took most of the time, but it is now lovely and orderly :)

So on to the last few days:

Happy New Year everyone!!
I have spent alot of time eating - my waistbands are much tighter and i really don't see the point in starting to eat healthily until all the 'bad food' is out of my house ;)
May i suggest these as the yummiest choccies ever:

I had a lovely new year with my hubbie and the 2 little boys at my best friends house:

'erm..i'm sure i saw someone put a bowl of choccies up here....'

'....yes, yes..i was right.....yum!!'

I don't like to make New Years resoultions, as i never keep them.....they are normally to stop biting my nails or excercise everyday.
So for the last few years, i simply hope for a happy year.
This year though i have added one...a nice one.
I am going to wear more dresses!!!
I hardly ever wear dresses.....but i have lots and love them.
So here i am on the 2nd wearing my first dress of the year......well actually i was wearing the most gorgeous dress on New Years Eve too. (I must get a photo of it, it's so lovely)

We always save a bit of money to have a little spend in the sales at Bluewater.
Here is what i got:
Another gorgeous dress from New Look!!!! Some lovely teatowels from Paperchase, some ribbon from John Lewis - have a look below to see how i used it, a lovely book - it caught my eye-i hope it's as good on the inside as it is on the outside, a gorgeous necklace from Urban Outfitters and 2 more from New Look.

My very cheap curtains in our bedrrom needed some tie backs, so hey presto:
Lovely brooch was my dear nans.

Must show you close ups of the lovely necklaces:
(This one has space for a photo at the back of the flowers)

(Bambis remind me of my nan)

And my hubbie chose me this lovely nightie from Zara Home. He knows how much i love long white Carrie (Sex and The City) type nighties!

For christmas my hubbie had asked my dad to get me two things from Urban Outfitters. He got them both wrong!! so i swapped them for these:

And lastly dear friends - get yourselves down to Sainsburys to grab these lovely tableclothes and napkins!!!!!

xx

Ahhhh, Hotel Chocolat. Love their cappachino chocs.
The tiebacks look lovely and the brooch is lovely too.
That glittering Bambie reminds me of something from my past, only I don't know what. Something's registering, though.
Happy Anniversary! xx

Love all your buys in the sale! It's a great time to get some great bargains.
Look forward too, to hearing all about this business of yours! I'm sure it won't take too long for little one to get used to pre-school.He will be enjoying it wey soon! It will be good for you to have some child free time, so you can pursue your planned venture.

Wishing you a very Happy Anniversary!
Wow, what a day for you... celebrations and a fresh start for the little one too.
Your chocolates looks VERY desirable I have to say....
And I am totally with you on the dresses - I adore dresses and want to wear them more and more. So I plan to use some of my fabric stash to make some dresses I can wear any time. Maybe we should set up a regular blog post of dresses we're wearing?!
Enjoy all your new purchases!
Happy days to you,

Hey girl, you look great in a dress ( not that I know what you look like in trousers, lol ). Now turn around and let us have a look at you properly, in that gorgeous new dress would be good :-)

Hope you had a wonderful day. Your purchases are lovely, I especially like your necklace from Urban Outfitters, great shop. I bought that same book at the airport on my way to New York just before christmas. I liked the cover too.I never got a chance to start reading it and then my daughter grabbed it over Christmas so I didn't get a chance to start it then either. She tells me it's good by the way.

Dear Lou,

Yours is the first post I have read in absolutely AGES! And I really enjoyed it, thank you.

I love the tie-backs - I could do with something at the moment as our old house doesn't have double glazing and we have ice on the INSIDE of the windows which is melting in the morning sun and all my new Laura Ashley curtains are going to get wet, gaaah.

What is the little business you mention? Am intrigued!

And did I thank you for my lovely Christmas card? If not then THANK YOU - it was such a lovely thing and a total surprise. Thank you.

Love Charlotte

Oh that's fantastic, thanks for telling me about the plans :-)

I would love to start making something too... I have a real desire to do this, and am not completely unartistic, I just need to decide what to learn to make really. I would love to make something I could sell through the website.

I have a part time evening job as a receptionist to help try and make ends meet and would love to be able to give this up and learn to make something that would replace the money!

Maybe this time next year we'll both have busy little 'factories'!!

Love Charlotte

Happy Anniversary! What a special day I bet you had. Sorry about your little one being sad, that makes it all the harder, doesn't it? It will get better. You did the right thing letting go. :( Don't spend all of your free time cleaning and straightening. Take some time for YOU to read or make or do something just for you while the little one is away those two hours. You deserve it.

I LOVE the charm necklace! Wish I could find one like that too. Oh! Congrats on your Bloggiversary too :)
