Just a quicky!!

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. We were child free for most of it!!!!!

We had a big breakfast at the seafront on Saturday with my Dad, his wife and the boys and then dropped them off at their other grandparents. We had a lovely meal out and then went to see Flashdance which was fab! We woke up at 10am on Sunday!! i can't remember the last time we did that.
We went to Ikea to get a frame for a picture to go in our bedroom and then had a nosey round some shops. On our return to get the boys we were greeted with smiles, hugs and a roast dinner and banoffe and cherry pies. yummy. Great weekend. I'm looking forward to next weekend as we are child free for 2 nights!! bliss. x

It sounds like you had a lovely time... As someone who doesn't have little ones I don't know how on earth you all cope!! My boyfriend has a little girl who comes every weekend, so I often see her on a Saturday / Sunday... and that's plenty for me!

Love the sound of your dinner... yummy!

Ohh i'm jealous but I shouldn't be as Mr R and I enjoyed a night away together at half term courtesy of the inlaws and it was just the break we needed. It's so nice to do things 'just the 2 of you' sometimes isn't it and the welcome back hug you get from your little one/s makes it special too! Love Sal x

Out of all the things you get to enjoy when having a childfree weekend I think it's always the lie ins that everyone enjoys best ;)

I haven't been to Colchester zoo for about 8 years so wouldn't know! Where are you based? My friend saw Flashdance last Monday and she really enjoyed it. x

I'm sure a childfree weekend does everybody loads of good!!! You get a lovely, peaceful weekend when you can have a lie in, and not have to do things that are based round the children! The children have a great time staying at their grandparents for a little holiday, and being spoilt!
Flashdance sounds great, the bit I like best is when Jennifer Beales dances for the judges to 'What a feeling'. Love that track, and the film too!!!
Enjoy your week : )
