that song rings bells in my heart also ;0)...i was tall with dark hair and my friend always wanted to be an actress and she had bett's big curly blonde hair!- and later in life ive had a little girl- our friendship sadly didnt stand the test of time but i often think of the happy memories we shared...beautiful movie beaches! xx

I still regret that I didn't go to see Bette Midler live when I was in Las Vegas, I love her and that song.

There are loads of songs that make me cry, I'm very emotional at the moment too!!!
I've only ever seen a clip of Beaches on one of those 'Your hundred best weepies' or something programmes, but the song...OH! xx

Oh me too. Beaches was on tv again recently and I watched it for the umpteenth time.
Now a popular choice for funeral services. I've heard it at two, and it set me off both times! x
