Well...Friday started of exciting..I was due to go to Wireless in Hyde Park to see Black eyed Peas, Tinie Tempah etc with My hubbie and Brother in Law. I had been looking forward to this for so long, especially as we had V.I.P tickets. But, instead i decided to fall down the stairs an hour before leaving and broke my 5th metatarsal in my foot!!!!
I am now in a very attractive:
I know theres never a good time to break your foot, but with 2 young boys who need to be driven to and from different schools, a house i've just moved into with boxes eveywhere, a husband that can't take time off work, and a weekend away clubbing in Brighton for our 30th birthday in 2 weeks, its hardly an ideal time.
I missed the concert yesterday, am missing a fancy dress party today (i need to keep my foot raised until i go back to fracture clinic on Monday) and really hope i don't miss the Take That concert on Wednesday.
I am bored already of not being able to get up and do things - I want to scream 'I'M A MUM, I CAN'T HAVE A BROKEN FOOT!!!!!'
I guess it made it worse that my blood pressure dropped to 60/40 which caused me to faint after my boot had been fitted - with a dodgy heart it always rings alarm bells. But my blood pressure went up to 90/60, still low, but seeing as i now have to lie down anyway, they let me home.
Thanks for the rant - i know it could be alot worse - i've only moaned on here - i guess at least i'll be able to catch up with the couple of weeks i lost of reading through all your lovely blogs.
xx

What rotten luck! I do hope it mends quickly. Hopefully you will soon be enjoying treats again! Take care x
Life can be so unfair at times, if I was a great philosopher (sp?) I'd say you fell for a reason probably so you could be at home to chat to the lonely window cleaner when he came on Tuesday. I'm not so will say it's blinking pants falling when you have so much planned. Wishing you a speedy recovery, hope all goes well for you.
Hugs Peg x
