Lake Garda part 1

We have spent two wonderful weeks in the beautiful Lake Garda.
We stayed in a fairly quiet town of Moniga. Not as pretty as other towns, but alot cheaper in the height of summer.

We stayed in a lovely apartment with a gorgeous view.
There are only 14 apartments so the pool doesn't get busy and it was lovely as the boys made friends.

We visited lots of towns around the Lake (Its huge!!! and takes hours to drive around)

Salo:

The first of many Pina Coladas

Ice cream was a must every day. Our favourite was the Kinder flavor in Salo

Gardone was a pretty small quiet town:

Now that is what i call a shot of Disaronno!!!!

Lasize is beautiful. We ate at an amazing restaurant!!! You sit outside a fabulous building and watch the sunset. It is probably the most beautiful restaurant i have ever been to:

We enjoyed going for a swim and then eating lunch on our balcony

I only bought a few things whilst away - i loved this cute tin mug:

When i packed for holiday i thought i had better be prepared for chilly and rainy days as well as hot.........
.........Apart from the day we arrived from the uk, we did not wear trousers or even a little cardi and it did not rain once. It was soooo hot, sometimes too hot!!!! I ended up washing 4 dresses and just wearing them the whole of the holiday:

We drove alot on this holiday - we enjoyed our day to the Ferrari museum:

Dance!!! don't walk!

Sunset in Lasize

Two of my favourite flavours - coconut and pistachio

Beautiful Sirmione:

:

Not the kinder we were expecting:

My youngest turned 5 on holiday. I bought this from a sweet shop in Billericay, Essex before we went:

Our favourite travel game:

So much pizza was consumed that i don't think i'll be able to eat it for a while!!!

Love is...... when your man carries your CK bag around :)

On route to the fantastic Gardaland theme park:

We mainly ate out, but it was nice to have dinners at the apartment too

Mmmmmm i always have to have a strawberries and cream chupa chup on holiday

For some reason i always eat a choc cereal on holiday, where i never would at home

Had to get this nutcracker!!!! can't wait to put it out with a huge bowl of nuts at christmas!!

Holiday hair - occasionally i would get out of shower, dry and be pleased with new soft waves:  ......but mostly i would end up with just frizz

Day trip to Milan - if you haven't been before i wouldn't bother!!!
The Duomo is nice but thats about it.

Shopping centre looks gorgeous outside but in side its only got pretentious designer stores.
Nothing like Paris or Rome where you can find some wonderful shops aswell.

You'll only understand this pic if you have watched the film 'grown ups'
Voss water in Milan!

It may look huge but this Pina colada was the most expensive and the worst one i had on hols!

Best part of Milan?? This yummy choc tart!!!

Part 2 coming soon

xx

I loved seeing this selection of your holiday photos. It's looks like you ate (and drank!) very well! Love your white dress, so pretty, and the little mug you bought is adorable. That chocolate tart looks amazingly tempting. Looking forward to seeing part 2.

I am sold on Lake Garda now! Looks like some lovely family memories were made, and you all had a 'proper' holiday. Looks heavenly!

It looks like you had a fabulous time!

When I used to go to Italy with Kelly I loved our daily (sometimes twice daily!!) trips to the gelato stall to sample a new ice cream flavour!
