What i've been up to - the Christmas edition

The last couple of weeks-

Its always good to start a weekend off with a cooked veggie breakfast:

My lovely vintage deers arrived from the US:

Last minute.com really is fab. We have had some great last minute deals. We went out with friends to Ministry of sound in London. For the same price as a cab back home in the early hours of the morning we got a lovely night in a 4 star hotel. We were upgraded to an executive room too:

Our view:

I do like lovely hotel bathroom treats:

We were'nt heading to the club until very late so me and the hubbie took a walk over tower bridge for dinner at Browns.

We had a few cocktails and reminisced about the night we went to Browns in Cambridge after getting engaged 13 years ago where we had brie to share:

We went back to the hotel to get ready for our night out - the slippers were so soft and cosy - they came home with me:

The next morning - well afternoon actually, we went and had breakfast and wandered around spitalfields:

I went with my mum to do a bit of christmas shopping to Leigh on sea. On the way back home we stopped off at Mad Dogs and Englishman which is a fabulous interiors shop and has the most wonderful tearoom.

I bought this rather charming clock for the mantelpiece:

Mmmm nothing like a chocolate Gu pot eaten with a small vintage spoon:

Wrapping takes forever doesn't it? Like most years i like to be a bit thrifty. I use the last years leftovers and old cards as tags.

I was a very proud Mummy when my eldest son came home with a gold medal for fencing. The previous years he came second and came home with silver, so this year he was really chuffed. He also went from being a cub to a scout this week too. Gosh time is flying by!!!!

A christmas guilty pleasure - a tv guide, a new highlighter and a hot choccie with a ton of cream:

A beautiful frosty morning:

Shopping for onesies (This year our family are wearing them for christmas day, but with not much notice they were quite hard to track down. It seems there are lots of people getting into the christmas spirit this year!!)
I needed a hot choc to recharge - i didn't ask for the cream- i didn't complain though ;)

I managed to find a onesie for me and the boys and hubbie has a crimbo tee and jumper. You'll have to wait until after christmas to see pics of them.

An instagram challenge - my four favourite christmas decorations:

I love my home at christmas:

Hmmmm so that stone i lost this year may go on again quite quickly!!!!!!

We had a lovely evening in London last weekend having a scrummy dinner with huge cocktails and then saw Shrek the musical which was just wonderful and sooo funny:

I have been reading a different christmas story to the boys each night. This nights story came with a lovely nativity scene to make:

We were out all weekend so annoyingly when we got home and realised our fridge had stop working, we couldn't save anything! The freezer had started to go too. Luckily we were able to save things from that. The icecream had started to melt though, so i did the only natural thing to do and ...ate it!

Treats for the boys when they returned from school:

Lovely gifts from lovely friends:

Tea and the cutest tree biccie in M & S:

10 minutes of bliss:

My biggest one yet!!:

Did you know?

Cute thoughtful gift from a school mum:

This happened:

(Well, actually, it didn't)

Treats for the boys:

Santa guarding the cakes from the boys......and me:

Christmas glammer:

Relaxing:

Baking:

Getting soaked whilst taking the doggies for a walk:

Merry Christmas all!!!
Have a lovely one

xx
