New things, a swap and am i missing something?

Head over to my other blog: A year of 30
to see more photos of new things in my home:

Oh sew beautiful is hosting a cupcake swap. Head over there by clicking on my link in the sidebar.

There is something i have been meaning to ask for a while:

Some bloggers comment on comments on there own blogs. I don't really understand this. Doesn't that mean that if you want to see if a blogger has commented on your own comment, you have to keep going back to blogs to see if they have replyed to you? Or am i missing something? Is there a way that lets you know that someone has commented??

I would much prefer bloggers to come to my blog and comment if they want to reply to a comment i had left. Goodness knows how many comments i've probably missed in the past. I really haven't got the time to go back to each blogger i've commented on to see if they have replyed!!

New things

Here are some new things in my new home:

John Rocha cushion in the sale at Debenhams:

Round cushion in H &M sale, Blue cushion from The Range:

Photo of Our town taken in the snow last year:

Gorgeous copy of a 1920's print advertising transport to Southend on Sea (Our local seaside town). I got the poster from The London Transport Museum and the frame from The Range. I spent just over £20.

I saw some of these birds custard prints on a wall in a local pub. I loved one with a boy playing football and a girl in a pancake race. I came home and looked for them online with no luck. I did find this one on Ebay, which is perect as my youngest son really can't resist jumping in puddles. The poster was about £8 and the frame was about the same from The Range.

I'll show you some more of my bargain buys for the house soon.

Making me smile

We heart it

Thank you for all your comments on my previous post

I am off to see Take That tonight. I will be getting a member of event staff to take me in a wheelchair to and from the car to my seat. I probably won't get to see much as eveyone always stands at these things - but at least i'll be there. I've never missed a tour since they played at Chelmsford back in the days of 'It only takes a minute'.

Woe is me!!!

Well...Friday started of exciting..I was due to go to Wireless in Hyde Park to see Black eyed Peas, Tinie Tempah etc with My hubbie and Brother in Law. I had been looking forward to this for so long, especially as we had V.I.P tickets. But, instead i decided to fall down the stairs an hour before leaving and broke my 5th metatarsal in my foot!!!!

I am now in a very attractive:

I know theres never a good time to break your foot, but with 2 young boys who need to be driven to and from different schools, a house i've just moved into with boxes eveywhere, a husband that can't take time off work, and a weekend away clubbing in Brighton for our 30th birthday in 2 weeks, its hardly an ideal time.

I missed the concert yesterday, am missing a fancy dress party today (i need to keep my foot raised until i go back to fracture clinic on Monday) and really hope i don't miss the Take That concert on Wednesday.

I am bored already of not being able to get up and do things - I want to scream 'I'M A MUM, I CAN'T HAVE A BROKEN FOOT!!!!!'

I guess it made it worse that my blood pressure dropped to 60/40 which caused me to faint after my boot had been fitted - with a dodgy heart it always rings alarm bells. But my blood pressure went up to 90/60, still low, but seeing as i now have to lie down anyway, they let me home.

Thanks for the rant - i know it could be alot worse - i've only moaned on here - i guess at least i'll be able to catch up with the couple of weeks i lost of reading through all your lovely blogs.
