Day 2:

Talk about your piercings/tattoos:

I have had my ears pierced since i was about 2 or 3 years old when i told my Mum i wanted earrings. She said yes but only because she didn't think i would go through with it. Well i did.
When i was a teen i had a second hole in each ear. I have been trying to close up those holes for nearly 10 years without much hope.

I only really wear earrings on nights out - usually big sparkly danglers.

Tattoos - for years i have wanted one off and on. I'd like to have a fairy, but i have a feeling i'd get bored and i don't like the idea of a wrinkly tattoo when i'm old.
I hate tattoos on womens legs/arms/feet - they can never look elegant when they wear dresses/short sleeves. If i was to have one it would probably be on the back of my neck so my hair could cover it if need be.

I like these quotes about tattoos:

-Women, don't get a tattoo.  That butterfly looks great on your breast when you're twenty or thirty, but when you get to seventy, it stretches into a condor.  ~Billy Elmer

-I always look for a woman who has a tattoo.  I see a woman with a tattoo, and I'm thinking, okay, here's a gal who's capable of making a decision she'll regret in the future.  ~Richard Jeni

-“Honey, Would You Put A Bumper Sticker On A Bentley?” - Kim Kardashian (When asked why she doesn’t have any tattoos)

Haha, that made me chuckle! I have two tattoos - a rosebud on my back and a daisy on my wrist. Both are quite ickle and can be covered if needs be. I love them. Go on ... treat yourself!!! :-) Hx

I hate tats on the arm and back - it looks awful when women have them when trying to look glamourous (almost impossible)! I have one on my wrist, but it's tiny and it's on my left hand so can cover up with a watch or bracelet. I did think about the neck, but now I have short hair I'm glad I didn't especially as I have a career where I need to be taken seriously by professors and pharmaceutical clients alike (hard enough when you are a young woman!).

Hi

I'm the same with tattoos, I've pondered it a lot and wavered between "Yes I really want one" and "no way". I'm really not a fan of seeing say a beautiful bride or bridesmaid and they turn round and have a faded half hearted tat on their shoulder.

Having said that, I think some women look stunning with really bold and colourful designs.

I absolutely love tattoos on men so I'm a bit of a hypocrite really ;)

I don't think piercings ever really close up that much, I can still put an earring in the second hole in my left ear if I want even if I've not tried for years. And I had my nose pierced for only a week so it hadn't even healed properly and you can still see the mark!

My 8 year old daughter wants her ears doing, but when her best friend told her how much it hurt, she quickly changed her mind. Ive had earings since the age of 10. Always wanted a tattoo of a ladybird on my big toe (I know abit strange), but as I cant stand anyone touching my feet, I would have to be put to sleep before they began - so I guess my tattoo dream is still a dream.

I had my ears pierced when I was about 14 cos my best friend did. found out that I couldn't change my earrings over, felt sick, so let them heal up! now i have 2 little balls in my ears when you feel them! I feel sick cleaning the dogs ears or getting sleep out of their eyes, husband has to do it, weird or what!

Have a delicious day!

I love that last quote :)
I do have a few tattoos and I don't ever regret them. I would have more but my hubbie does not like them and he would be gutted if I got more. If they are done well and are in a sensible place then they can be great. I have one on my upper arm and 3 together on my shoulder blade. Go for it! p.s. I also pierced my own nose with a darning needle about 10 years ago but let it heal after I got sick of it!

Ha - love that Richard Jeni joke. Just be aware that if you have lots of tattoos, my 3 year old will loudly shout "Is that a man?", whether or not you also have long hair or high heels!

I have seen a few incredible tattoos on women, but they are sadly outnumbered by the tweety-pie on boob, flower on fat ankle, kids' names on bingo wings type affairs you tend to see around here.
