Show us your Cath!!

Ever since starting my blog in February, i've noticed how most of you love a bit of Cath!

Now, i know theres been lots of talk recently - yes shes expensive!! but we still love her don't we?? I think she is one of the biggest inspirations of the decorations in our homes, our makes and our general love of shabbychicness.
In honor of Cath i'm hosting a 'Show us your Cath' party on Thursday 22nd October.

If you would like to join in just let me know and i'll get a list up at the side of my blog so that on the day you can go have a nosey at everyone elses parties!

Here are some rules: You don't just need to show us your Cath purchases or makes, you might want to show Cath inspired goodies - they are everywhere so i'm sure you can all find a few pics for us around your homes. Maybe you could throw a tea party using CK plates, or just show us pictures of all your CK/CK inspired things.

I'm hoping this will be a bit of light hearted fun that we can all join in with.

Paste the above picture onto your blog and let others know!!

She

With those legs Sarah,i wouldn't worry too much!!

Some lovely things in this months She magazine - i will be getting the lovely mugs above.
And this book looks like it could be interesting:
'Libby Page is not your average 16 year old.
Not only has she put together this beautiful book, in which she celebrates everything pink, but she's already shared a pink teapot cake with David Cameron and persuaded the great and the good to share their pink secrets.'
70 percent of the profits are being donated to Breast cancer care.

I love this pink coat - i wonder if i can persuade my lovely other half to let me get it??
I hope this looks as real in real life as it does in the picture - i think it's really lovely.
OOOhhhh yummy!!!
Don't forget my giveaway on my previous post - i'll be adding in some extra bits too, 1 thing will be handmade by me and theres a little something from Emma Bridgewater too!!

Joules, doors and giveaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Joules kids catalogue came through today.

Shabby chic at this age!! How adorable.

Ooooo how i wish i had wings!

So lovely!! i want one!

Set for an adventure.

I took myself (yes just me for a whole hour - bliss) to the local carboot on Saturday and came back with this: I love the Flower fairies, but the main reason i wanted it was because it looks just like my littlest who also has an obsession with strawberries. So it had to come home with me. I'm going to paint the frame white and put it in my new work room when it's decorated.

Lovely treats brought home from the Lake District by my in - laws.

My hall finally has white doors instead of the horrid yellowy ones, yay!! Just need handles now.

Right on to the giveaway - I'm going to call it the childhood giveaway. If you would like to win these gorgeous framed pictures, this Royal Worcester candle snuffler and some extra goodies then leave me a comment on this post telling me about your favourite childhood possession. If you are a follower i'll put you in twice and if you copy this picture and post it on your blog telling others about the childhood giveaway i'll give you another chance to win. (make sure you let me know though)

You have until Monday 21st September to enter.

Good Luck

a bit of this and that:

This is a bit of a mixed bag kinda post.
Firstly, look at the Sunflower!!! we did'nt kill it, woo hoo!!
We went to another Little Havens Super car charity day last weekend. This time it was on an actual track- arghhhh!! i arrived to see cars going round at 150mph. I felt quite sick, how could i let my little 7 year old boy go in one?!?! well, i did and he loved it!!
They also had ago of some quad bikes - well, the littlest just sat on one!!

I took myself to my first dolls house fair in years and came home with these lovelies.

oooh - i have to show you this great freebie that will be in next months Easy Living magazine. Now, i can't imagine the quality will be that great, but a good freebie anyway. I'll remind you in October.
Also in Easy Living i spotted this gorgeous little rustic Corsican farmhouse - Villa Olivella - how cute!
Erm - the answer would be...yes....
A quick and easy recipe for you:
I wonder if i can manage to look like this, this Autumn??!!

Can't wait to see this film next week with my Mum.
Cute as .......cake
I have this book.... Junior has a full size picture of it this month.

My lovely hubby surprised me on Monday by coming home early with these (the same flowers in my wedding bouquet) and arranged for us to go to My Kitchen last night - we also felt like teens again with a game of bowling.
Saw this film on Wednesday with my Mum. I loved it!!! The clothes worn by Summer are gorgeous too! i want her wardrobe!!
A carboot purchase - 50p for all three!! I was very happy.
My youngests favourite birthday toys: We've been doing lots of 'cooking'. He also got Early Learning Centres food cutting range and microwave which have been played with non stop.
Yummy English local apples - so pretty.

Now, i have decided to put this article on my blog because i hope it may help some people. I read it whilst on holiday and it is the first thing i have ever read about willpower that has actually stuck in my head (well, for the last 4 weeks anyway). I gave it to my friend too, and now i'm giving it to you - so if you have a problem with willpower - e.g with food (in my case) then click on each pic and have a read.

I found my magnets!!!! they were in the lining of my holiday bag!! They are now safe on my fridge.
Theres a great shop near where i live that sells out of date magazines - 3 for £2.50. I was really chuffed to get Augusts Country Living as i missed that one.
One of my favourite places to browse and have lunch is Barleylands - a farm, farmers market, cafe and craftshop centre. Alot of the craft places have closed down, but theres still some nice ones there. I got 19 good size scraps of fabric for 70p!!
At Barleylands i saw a lovely little fabric star - so in town yesterday i bought this fabric (virtually the same) £3.00 per metre and am going to make one for myself.
I adore Humphreys Corner. Now my youngest is 2 he is in the last age range of clothes, so i treated myself -ahem-i mean him to these lovelies. I also have the cutest pj's on order.

Have a good weekend ladies. We are off to Barleylands again tommorrow for their annual country show and on Sunday i'm off to see my new baby nephew who was born this morning!!! Can't wait for a cuddle!!
