We had such a lovely stay in the New Forest. They weather was typically British - sun, rain, even hail, thunder and lightning!!

Lovely things:

1) My eldest had 3 friends round to make up a dance - they are all a lovely bunch of boys. We prayed for the sun to come out. It had rained all day. but between the hours of 3.30 and 5.30 it was warm and sunny. The boys had a wonderful time dancing in the garden wearing their coolest gear. We had jumps, flips and allsorts!!! They came in for a bite to eat and it started raining. God was looking down on them, i am sure :)
2) I had a relaxing bath and a tipple or 2 of Disaronno.
3) I have watched the first half of Water for Elephants with the hubbie - it is gorgeous!! going to watch the rest tonight.

Photo a day challenge catch up

I am so enjoying Fat Mum Slims photo challenges. I am part of the challenge on instagram (LissyLou123) These are a little out of order:

Shadow - when i took this picture, i had in my head the song - 'me and my shadow' The little one copied his brother and didn't leave his side the whole holiday - it was very sweet:

Inside my wallet -I love my purse £8 from Sainsburys. I really don't see the point on spending a lot of money on something. Infact my purse before this was £3 and i used it until it was battered!!
Because we were on holiday, i haven't actually got everything in it like more discount cards, library cards etc. As an adult, i now understand why my Mum always had such a large purse!!

Cold - an empty glass of Disaronno and ice :)

Where i ate breakfast -  At the table in our holiday home.

Something i found - sitting on a bench watching the boys in the playground, i discovered these two behind me:

How i feel today - This picture is ment to represent - chubby!!! After eating far too much chocolate/cakes/cheese etc on holiday i am too big for my jeans!! My first meal back home was a jacket, salad and a touch of low fat hummus:

Sunset - a lovely moody sunset after a stormy day in the New Forest:

A younger me - if i was home i would have probably taken a pic of a younger photo of me or shown you a toy or something. Instead i am showing you a little gift i hinted at and then lovely hubby bought for me. I always have a younger me inside of me. I love kiddie things!!!

Stairs - aren't these gorgeous? They remind me of The Titanic. These were actually in a fantastic free electricity museum in Christchurch:

Tiny - this is baby Jack - little boy loves him!!

Lunch - We had lunch on our first day in the New Forest at a lovely little pub. We enjoyed playing games whilst we waited:

xx

Lovely Things:

1) A get together with my cousin - 9 kids all on 1 trampoline until 11pm at night!!! Thats what its all about - lovely memories.
2) A lovely day with the in laws - Breakfast by the sea, fairground rides and Thai for dinner.
3) Cuddles with cute baby Jacob

Easter Holidays - the holiday home

Hello!!!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

We had a packed one and i have so many photos to show you!!!
The next few posts will be about our Easter. Pictures from my camera/instagram/photoadaychallenge.

In this post i am going to show you the lovely cottage we stayed in last week:

We booked a fairly last minute week to the New Forest. After visiting for a weekend last year i just had to go back to see more!!!
My first few choices were fully booked. But i have to say, Spring cottage felt like home straight away. It was a lot bigger than i thought and was in a lovely position.

We arrived on Good Friday. The very lovely owners left us cupcakes and an Easter egg each.

The living room is spacious, there were games and a nice selection of books and toys:

Our bedroom was spacious, with the most comfy king size bed i've ever slept in. We also had a nice ensuite.

The boys room was lovely. This cottage is very child friendly. They ask you the age and sex of the children. Which when i arrived i realized was probably to set the room up with blue duvets and dinosaur toys!!

The garden is so pretty and very safe for the kiddies. We had a wonderful Easter egg hunt (i'll show you that in another post)

The entrance hall is nice and large - perfect for our muddy boots.

The New forest ponies are so close that the large driveway and garden are behind gates that have to be kept shut at all times to avoid the ponies creating havoc!!

More on our Easter and the New Forest coming soon!!!

I am looking forward to catching up on what you have all been up to and i will be going round and looking at LissyLous Vintage Easter Swap goodies - i hope you all recieved your parcels?

xx

Todays lovely things:

1) Getting organised from the week away - okay, i didn't like doing the actual tidying and unpacking, but i'm pleased its all done now!
2) Pilates - i needed it!!! i managed to put on 5 pounds just on our week away!!
3) The new Marks and Spencers advert

Easter/swaps

I have found a bit of time to catch up writing some blog posts. So far the Easter holidays has been a really lovely but packed one!! The hubbie is off and we have been out of our house until today. This is our only day not booked up for the whole two weeks, So i have been cleaning and catching up with washing whilst trying to keep the boys from killing each other!! The hubbie has been painting our bedroom - yay!!! gone is the pink cherub wallpaper and it is almost a lovely shade of antique cream.

On to the swap:

LissyLous vintage Easter swap (The first swap i have hosted) This was an Easter swap with a vintage/shabbychic feel to it. I hope by now you will have already recieved or nearly recieved your swaps.

I was partnered with The Krafty cupcake, who funnily enough i am also partnered with for the jubilee swap (I am actually a little more organised for the jubilee swap and have already started making)

This is the Easter package i sent:

A Peter Rabbit tin/ a knitted duck with chocolate eggs, a little wooden bunny decoration, biccies, an easter garland, box of pretty chalk, happy easter sign, cocktail umbrellas, egg cosie, hanging retro heart, some wooden decorations and some tissues.

And this is what i got:

Oh my goodness i was spoilt!!!
I picked it up from the postie and actually started to open it in the car on the way to an easter egg hunt. I could not wait until i got home!!!
I loved the gorgeous tags on everything:

I got a gorgeous 'Handmade by Amber' basket, (I follow this wonderful crafter on Facebook and love her things) With some pom pom eggs inside/ A gorgeous tea set with kinder eggs/ tea and egg free biscuits/ fabric/ an Audrey bracelet/ a cute lamb (i saw this on Kraftys blog and loved it, i am so pleased to have it as lambs are my favourite animal), A scented candle/ socks and a note book.

I can not thank you enough. You really did your research on me and have got everything bang on!!!
