Lovely books for Christmas!!

I've added some lovely Christmasy books that i recommend on my Amazon list (see my side bar)

Amazon is great for books, low prices and often has free post and packaging!!!!

Merry Christmas reading !!



 On the weekend i held my second sale at Leigh on Sea.
A really lovely fair with 2 floors and 6 rooms full of lovely vintage and handmade items.

 I bought myself a lovely cherry necklace,
 and a vintage basket to store my loo rolls in.
For my youngest son i bought a sock dog and a sock bunny for Christmas from the wonderful two by two!!

 That evening we celebrated a friends birthday with a gorgeous big cake made by my Sister in Law to be (Strawberrys dipped by my 5 year old niece!)

I have been making up some Christmas hearts:
 If you would like one they are £3.00 plus £1 p&p
Get them quick as they are only available until 16th December.

 You can choose what colour girl you would like - yellow/blue/green/white

 Or what santa you would like - Chimney/sack/stocking

 They are 15cm x 15cm and can be scented with vanilla spice if you wish.

Notebook Monday - a foodie special

Here are some foodie treats from my notebooks

- New potato and vegetable pesto skewers - put on the grill or barbie

- Boursin, tomato and lettuce panini

- Pasta with cooked asparagus, red onion, peas, creme fraiche, basil and a dash of lemon juice

- Stuff red peppers with halved cherry tomatoes, feta, garlic, basil, balsamic vinegar and fresh breadcrumbs - cook

- Mix sundried tomato paste with creme fraiche for a yummy dip

- Roll out some puff pastry, make a 1cm border and fill with peppers, tomato and gorgonzola cheese - cook for 20 mins

Healing foods

-If you have a long day ahead eat bananas and yoghurt for breakfast

-If your feeling under the weather eat some peanut butter and bananas on toast

-Hangover?  Eat some mushrooms on toast

Bits and bobs

Hello all, are you having a good week?

I thought i'd show you some recent purchases:

A lovely notepad with mirror and pencil inside bought for me by my lovely other half and a bar of the most gorgeous smelling soap as recommended by Alison from Brocantehome.

Look at this yummy pie...leftovers from my In Laws.
Filo pastry, onion, spinach and feta...simples!

Look at this lovely lot:
Two charity shop reads, and one Afternoon tea and two old childrens charity books ready to go to my sale on Saturday.
Some gorgeous charity christmas cards from the library, lovely painted by mouth or foot christmas tags that i found for 10p, christmas yankee candles, pretty thimbles and a new magnetic pad for the kitchen.

And here is what cheered me up today!!

I am delighted with the bits that were unwrapped and am so excited about opening one a day leading up to Christmas.
